Welcome to Silk Tatva. The www.silktatva.com website is owned and operated by Silk Tatva (hereinafter referred to as "Silk Tatva"). By using or registering for Silk Tatva, users and the entities or persons they represent ("User" or "Users") agree to be legally bound by the terms, conditions, and notices set forth herein (collectively, the "Terms"). Silk Tatva reserves the right to modify these Terms at its sole discretion. Your continued use of the website following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. You agree to these Terms by checking the confirmation box at checkout before placing your order. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the silktatva.com website.

Permitted Use You are authorised to visit, view, and retain copies of pages on silktatva.com for personal use only. You may not duplicate, publish, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this website — including text, photographs, videos, graphics, and other materials — without express written permission from Silk Tatva.

Registration By registering, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information. Silk Tatva reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.

Member Account, Password and Security You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. Silk Tatva will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from misuse of your credentials.

Orders & Dispatch

  • Orders are placed via the online order form on silktatva.com.
  • All handloom sarees and lehengas are made-to-order, individually sourced from artisan weavers upon receipt of your order.
  • Lead time for dispatch is 3–5 business days unless stated otherwise.
  • Orders once placed cannot be cancelled, as sourcing begins immediately.
  • Silk Tatva reserves the right to accept or reject any order at its sole discretion.

Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Free shipping applies to all orders worldwide, including all EU countries. No additional shipping charges apply at checkout.
  • International taxes, duties, or levies (where applicable) remain the responsibility of the customer.
  • Payment by credit/debit card requires the cardholder name to match the name on the order.

Delivery

  • Delivery addresses must be complete and accurate. PO Box addresses are not accepted.
  • Silk Tatva is not liable for non-delivery or mis-delivery due to incorrect address details provided by the customer.
  • Deliveries are made on standard working days only. Delays due to public holidays or force majeure events do not entitle the customer to compensation.
  • Silk Tatva is not liable for wear, tear, or damage during transit beyond our control.

EU Consumer Rights If you are located in the European Union, the following applies in addition to the above:

  • Made-to-order exemption: All handloom sarees and lehengas are made to order and are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c). By placing an order, EU customers acknowledge that items are custom-sourced and non-returnable unless defective.
  • Mandatory consumer protections: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable EU consumer protection laws, including rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.
  • Governing law for EU customers: While these Terms are generally governed by the laws of the Republic of India and subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Delhi, EU customers retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in their country of residence that cannot be contractually excluded.

Governing Law (General) These Terms and any disputes arising therefrom shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Delhi, except where mandatory local consumer laws apply.

Force Majeure Silk Tatva shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including war, strikes, theft, natural disasters, terrorist acts, or changes in law.
